Job Description:
AECOM 's Edmonton office is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our growing team. The Team will be responsible for managing the electrical discipline in the Edmonton office, delivering projects and winning work.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the electrical design of a number of different buildings projects.
- Responsibilities include Business Development, Project Management, client communication, consultant coordination, design development, drawing review and contract administration.
- Responsible for overseeing our active projects and for sourcing new work to keep the electrical group strong and growing.
Duties include:
Maintain, develop and coordinate all aspects of the Electrical Engineering practice.
Prepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clients.
Develop, manage and grow the electrical department.
Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers and technical staff; provide direction to help others meet objectives.
Write and coordinate winning proposals, attract new clients and retain current clients.
Manage financial and cost control aspects of electrical engineering team.
Meet with clients to discuss potential new work and/or review project requirements.
Communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
Preparation of design and contract documents, document checking, conduct construction review and contract administration throughout the duration of a project.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience doing electrical design on in industrial, commercial, and municipal projects with broad skills in all phases of project delivery
- Experience in field review and contract administration is essential.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- We require someone with strong business acumen and experience managing people and multiple projects.
- Must have strong, hands-on technical knowledge.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
