We are currently searching for a devoted and enthusiastic overnight Technician Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission.


Position Overview:


The overnight Technician Assistant assumes a pivotal role in upholding the veterinary hospital's cleanliness and functionality while ensuring the well-being of in-hospital patients and boarders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring organized and thorough maintenance of medical records for overnight patients
  • Collaborating seamlessly with veterinarians and RVTs, stepping in where necessary, and communicating with oncall DVMs when needed
  • Consulting with RVTs or Technician Assistants regarding the care of inhospital patients and boarders, demonstrating proficiency in discussing medication schedules, feedings, and special instructions for overnight patients
  • Diligent in overseeing general stocking procedures and maintaining the clinic's cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Expertly handling and restraining pets as required, showcasing a compassionate approach
  • Administering medications as directed
  • Assisting in laboratory and diagnostic procedures when the situation demands, contributing to the overall efficiency of the healthcare team
  • Cultivating positive client relationships through effective communication and the delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Attending to the diverse needs of overnight patients, including walking, feeding, and ensuring the provision of fresh bedding, with a dedicated focus on their wellbeing

Qualifications:


  • Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred
  • A strong passion for animal welfare and care
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach toward animals and their owners
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required

Salary:
$20.00-$23.00 per hour


Experience:

Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
