Under the responsibility of the Engineering and Continuous Improvement Coordinator, the person is responsible for providing technical support for printed and laminated products.

His goal is to optimize the printing and lamination processes while reducing production costs as well as scrap and maximizing equipment efficiency.

He works with the development team to support new business opportunities.

More specifically:

Set up and execute waste reduction projects
Improve the performance of existing products by proposing and supporting changes in manufacturing processes in order to reduce production costs
Support the organization in the introduction of new processes to presses, prepresses and lamination
Ensure the followup of new products and structures in the departments
Establish the new critical parameters to be evaluated
Maintain all documentation relating to production processes in printing and lamination
Participate in the design of work procedures for presses and lamination equipment
Ensure a high technical level of competence of the operators of the presses and the lamination department by providing training and performing periodic evaluations
Identify, investigate, and provide solutions to recurring problems that lead to noncompliance or loss of production and efficiency
Identify opportunities to improve productivity in terms of startup times and production speeds
Integrate health and safety and prevention into daily activities
Support the implementation of solutions to identified OHS risks
Support the organization to maintain our SQF structure and FDA certification
Participate in quality rounds and the implementation of corrective actions
Education and Experiences:_
Postsecondary education and a minimum of 15 years of experience preferably in the flexography industry OR a Technical Diploma combined with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs, MRP
Bilingual (French, English)
