We are currently looking for driven, career motivated and customer service oriented individuals to join our Customer Counter team located in Mississauga, ON.

DUTIES


Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this role's focus is to generate new and repeat sales by providing customer service excellence at the counter and presenting a professional and attentive image to customers and suppliers.


  • Answer pricing enquiries and stock checks. Provide technical information and product specifications.
  • Enter web orders and accurately allocate it to the respective Branches for release.
  • Coordinate delivery arrangements with the customer and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Create and maintain product displays that engages customers and helps stimulate sales activity, keeping merchandise and counter areas clean and professional.
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Communicate promotional sale items as well as discounted slow moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Proactive contact with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments.
  • Respond to web enquiries (prices, stock checks) within 2 hours of request.
  • Perform various branch administration; vendor returns, expedite orders, quote inquiries, etc.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • Minimum 23 years related technical/sales experience in the Plumbing or HVAC industry, ideally within a wholesale distribution environment,
  • Must have Plumbing & Heating knowledge,
  • Postsecondary education in Plumbing or HVAC, or equivalent experience,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Positive attitude and customer service oriented with a sense of urgency, and
  • Computer literate; Basic MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills.

From $49,000.00 per year

Experience:

- plumbing and HVAC sales: 1 year (preferred)
