    Journeyman Millwright

    Are you an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) looking to learn and grow to develop your career? Want to be involved in the installation of new equipment and other projects? We are currently looking for 1 Industrial Mechanic to join our Maintenance team to assist with PMs and Projects for our 160,000 sq.

    ft. facility in Burnaby, BC.

    This a great opportunity for anyone tired of travelling to camps and different job sites, and looking to grow and develop in their career.

    As an Industrial Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
    # Completing all necessary guarding upgrades as specified by WorkSafeBC to operating and non-operating plant equipment
    # Assisting in teardowns, re-assembly and/or installation of new equipment
    # Carrying out any Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic adjustments on equipment
    # Performing preventative maintenance per company and machine manufacturer's recommendations
    # Meeting new machine installation deadlines, making the machine available for production at the earliest opportunity
    # Collaborating with Maintenance Coordinator on parts and services ordering
    # Ensuring all maintenance-generated paperwork meets company procedures
    # Participating in ongoing maintenance projects
    # Utilizing strong Millwright skills and experience to act as a mentor to Apprentice Millwrights
    # Valid BC or Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright ticket
    ~1-3 years' experience as a Journeyman Millwright within a manufacturing environment
    ~ Strong oral and written English communication skills
    ~ Welding and fabrication experience (Current welding ticket would be considered a strong asset)
    ~ Experience in reading diagrams, schematic drawing, and hydraulic and pneumatic experience
    ~ Available to work permanent night shift (10:30pm-7am)
    ~ Available to work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday
    ~ Available to work holidays if shutdown maintenance is required
    ~ Must have knowledge of guarding installation practices and have own tools
