Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise optical staff.
- Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Schedule staff effectively to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours.
Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Train staff on customer service best practices and ensure adherence to company policies.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive optical sales and meet revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and competitive offerings to effectively promote sales.
Optical Services:
- Oversee the provision of optical services, including fittings, adjustments, and repairs.
- Ensure that all optical equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Stay updated on advancements in optical technology and recommend relevant updates to the product offering.
Inventory Management:
- Manage optical inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Place orders with suppliers and monitor deliveries to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including HIPAA and FDA regulations.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy in prescription fulfillment and eyewear fittings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical department in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Administrative Duties:
- Oversee administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims processing, and recordkeeping.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of services and resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in optical sales or management role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing optical practices.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fastpaced environment.
Job Types:

Contract length: 3 months
Pay:
$40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week
