Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:


  • Recruit, train, and supervise optical staff.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Schedule staff effectively to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours.

Customer Service:


  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train staff on customer service best practices and ensure adherence to company policies.

Sales and Revenue Generation:


  • Develop and implement strategies to drive optical sales and meet revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and competitive offerings to effectively promote sales.

Optical Services:


  • Oversee the provision of optical services, including fittings, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Ensure that all optical equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Stay updated on advancements in optical technology and recommend relevant updates to the product offering.

Inventory Management:


  • Manage optical inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Place orders with suppliers and monitor deliveries to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:


  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including HIPAA and FDA regulations.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy in prescription fulfillment and eyewear fittings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical department in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Administrative Duties:


  • Oversee administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims processing, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics for management review.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of services and resources.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in optical sales or management role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing optical practices.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fastpaced environment.

Pay:
$40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year


Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week
