Description

The Packager/Thermal Operator worker will clean, inspect and wash parts, operate the thermal, and complete the packaging and shipping duties as required.

Additionally, the Packager/Thermal Operator will assist the Shipping and Receiving department in moving parts to and from plating establishments.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Clean and inspect parts for defects and handling damage
  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Preparing parts for the thermal process by sorting and utilizing the wash machine as well as operating the air gun for the purpose of drying parts to complete the wash cycle.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of shipment
  • Pack and label materials to prepare for shipping and stock warehousing
  • Perform tasks in multitemperature environments
  • Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures
  • Conduct daily and preventative maintenance checks
  • Clean and maintain machines and work areas
  • Work well with mínimal supervision
  • Create and Maintain work instructions, Narratives and utilize Dropdoc for daily/weekly Thermal deburr, titration test, and compressed gas storage area
  • Fill out all required documents for NCP's and take them to assigned disposition areas
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Communicate any issues/concerns to other technicians at shift handover
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education:


  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent or 13 years in Manufacturing.
  • Forklift experience of 13 years is considered an asset
  • Ability to use mechanical inspection tools (Tape Measure, Calipers, Micrometers, and Bore Gage), power tools
  • Strong written and oral communication, problemsolving, decisionmaking, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, and significant use of memory;
  • High level of detail accuracy, manual dexterity, and handeye coordination;
  • Proficient with technology, reading text, document use, numeracy;
  • Commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Ability to work as a team/independently;
  • Ability to complete repetitive physical tasks (ex. lifting, bending, twisting)
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a safe and orderly manner.
