Job description
The Materials Division of ParklandGEO is an energetic team of professionals that work closely together to achieve excellence. Our focus on delivering safe, quality solutions that meet our clients' needs has resulted in continued growth and demand. Currently, ParklandGEO is looking for seasonal lab technicians for approx. 8 month term.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with an impressive team of engineers and technologists, performing lab monitoring, testing and investigations under the direction of the Technical Services Manager.

Responsibilities

Laboratory testing of asphalt, soil, and aggregate
Ability to understand and follow legislative testing guidelines
Complete detailed and accurate testing, date entry and reporting
Manage rush testing, time management and deliverables
Travel to sites to retrieve samples for testing
Assist Lab Coordinator/Supervisor in any deliverable requested.
Ship samples to other offices for testing

Qualifications

Past experience in construction or similar materials setting considered an asset
CCIL/CSA certification would be considered an asset
Great attitude and work ethic
Detailed oriented
Able to lift 50lbs +
Valid Driver's License
Ability to work with mínimal supervision and communicate effectively with coworkers, and management team
Ability to work up to 12 hours a day, some weekends and overtime will be required
Team orientated with a commitment to safety excellence
