Voilà is a new team dedicated to launching and scaling Sobeys new e-commerce grocery home delivery business. This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up within a larger organization.

You will help launch and operate a new brand in the Alberta, Ontario and Quebec markets powered by Ocado Group's world-leading e-commerce grocery platform.

Overview:


Reporting in to the Delivery Manager, the Delivery Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the delivery operations; teammates and equipment, maintaining oversight of routing, scheduling and dispatch to customers.

Adherence to applicable provincial and federal regulatory standards is strictly enforced. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment.

  • Determines the Manpower requirements and staff his/her shift appropriately reacting to any situation affecting his/her planning (Holidays, BOGOs, unplanned events, etc.)
  • Monitors and reports the daily productivity information and on time service.
  • Explains any variances on productivity
  • Manages absenteeism and employees tardiness
  • Recruits, trains, develops, motivates, and coaches Delivery teammates, and provides regular feedback, including administering corrective actions as required
  • Communicates any relevant information to the employees
  • Demonstrates outstanding leadership, with a clear vision and consistent sense of direction and serves as a role model for employees
  • Ensures that the Health and safety rules are being followed
  • Ensures that system and tools are being used as instructed
  • Reviews all Delivery Sheets and temperature logs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
  • Valid provincial drivers license
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements:


  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Results oriented leader, with Excellent judgment and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated successful ability working with crossfunctional teams
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly prioritize while maintaining focused on the team
  • Minimum of High School diploma and 2 years of experience in a warehouse or transportation company, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated successful experience leading warehouse or transportation employee
  • Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Occasionally lift over 88 lbs
  • Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Possible exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Alertness to other people and vehicles
