We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate Child and Youth Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our team.


Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child and Youth Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our team as independent contractors.

As a Child and Youth Counsellor/Psychotherapist at Pace Child and Family Wellness Centre, you will play a vital role in providing individualized therapy services to children and adolescents with autism and related disorders.

You will work closely with a supportive team of professionals to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and youth, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed and registered as a Child and Youth Psychotherapist.
  • Must be a member of Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC)
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents, with a focus on pediatric mental health.
  • Strong understanding of developmental psychology and the unique needs of young clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in child and youth psychotherapy.
  • Familiarity with evidencebased therapeutic approaches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children and youth in a clinical setting.

$50.00-$90.00 per hour
