We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate Child and Youth Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our team.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child and Youth Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our team as independent contractors.

As a Child and Youth Counsellor/Psychotherapist at Pace Child and Family Wellness Centre, you will play a vital role in providing individualized therapy services to children and adolescents with autism and related disorders.

You will work closely with a supportive team of professionals to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and youth, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
Assess and diagnose mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Licensed and registered as a Child and Youth Psychotherapist.
Must be a member of Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC)
Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents, with a focus on pediatric mental health.
Strong understanding of developmental psychology and the unique needs of young clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in child and youth psychotherapy.
Familiarity with evidencebased therapeutic approaches.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Exceptional empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children and youth in a clinical setting.
