- Two-year Diploma in a related field.
- 4 years of senior administrative or secretarialexperience.
- Knowledge of Municipal Government Act, economicdevelopment, land conveyancing, zoning bylaws and drafting of Council Reportsand Briefing Memos.
- Ability to accurately type 55 wpm and input data intoa computer working with various applications.
- Ability to understand and communicate various bylaws,acts, manuals, etc. as required.
- Ability to deal effectively face to face, over thephone and in writing with difficult customers.
- Ability to work as a team player and workindependently with a high degree of accuracy and in accordance with policiesand procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to manage time in a departmentwhere there are a wide range of issues and challenges and high volume of workwith frequent interruptions and conflicting priorities and ensure thatessentials tasks are completed with accuracy within rigid deadlines.
- Knowledge of The City's financial computer system andthe computer network.
- Knowledge of administrative, financial, recordsmanagement and online procedures
- Commissioner for Oaths Designation and Peace Officerstatus must be attainable.
- Ability tolearn and apply various computer programs in day-to-day operations.
- Understand and ability to communicate statistics orfigures, zoning, land sale process and other various land relatedprocedures.

The Opportunity:
The LED - Senior Administrative Assistant is theexecutive assistant to the Land & Economic Development Manager and alsoprovides administrative support to the Economic Development Officers and LandCoordinator under the direction of the Land & Economic Development Manager.The Senior Administrative Assistant assists the Land Sales Administrative Clerkposition as needed.
