This is what you'll be doing:
Cleaning stretchers/ chairs. General tidying of the department. Supporting Clinic staff by monitoring supply levels, and stocking supplies as necessary. Assisting nurses with patient care by cleaning and changing linen on stretchers/chairs. Equipment retrieval from throughout the hospital as needed. Other duties to support patient flow as required.

This is what you'll need to do it:

Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

Minimum grade 12 education required
Must have previous ward aide or related health care experience, surgery experience preferred
Experience with medical supplies (cleaning/stocking) required
Experience with order entry via Meditech an asset
Must be able to diplomatically respond to customer requests in a demanding work environment
Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and organize and prioritize work
Flexibility and the ability to work quickly in a busy environment
Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations
Repetitive standing & walking, frequently pushing stretchers, and bending to clean stretchers and chairs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
Satisfactory employment record and good attendance record required.

Salary:
$18.23 to $22.79 per hour
