Description

Counselling Support

  • Monitors progress of international students and provides ongoing support, referring students for professional assistance, when appropriate;
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure student satisfaction and success
  • Provide supports to other administrative duties upon request
  • Offer program counselling services and assistance to current and potential students
  • Liaison with Academic Department to determine the most suitable study plan that meet the student's needs and goals
  • Address and resolve any student concerns, complaints, and requests
  • Counsel students in order to ease the transition to living in Toronto and cultural differences
  • Provide ongoing support to students and parents
  • Other Duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications:


  • College diploma or university degree
  • Experience in international student counselling is preferred
  • Fluent in English and Korean
  • Must be proactive and performance driven
  • Knowledge of educational systems and international secondary & postsecondary system of other countries is an asset
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and students
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, outlook and google drive

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$16.00-$20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
