Position Summary


The HR Generalist is responsible for the optimization of the HR operational processes and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department, focusing on areas such as policy implementation, employee relations, talent acquisition, and HR administration, while not directly managing personnel.

Performance Objectives

  • Monitor adherence to HR policies and provide guidance to employees and managers as needed
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances, providing appropriate support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions are accurate and recruitment efforts are aligned with organizational needs.
  • Manage employee data and documentation accurately and confidentially, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Support HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and performance management, contributing to a smooth employee lifecycle experience
  • Assist in generating HR reports and analytics to support datadriven decisionmaking
  • Complete company payroll, benefits and RRSP remittances.

Capabilities / Key Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or trade certificate in business Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in human resources
  • Experience in the construction industry or related field preferred.
  • Experience in completing full cycle payroll is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

  • This position is primarily completed within the office, light level lifting may be required.
  • This position requires sitting and working at a desk in an office environment.

Job Types:

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
