Scope of Position:
Requirements critical to successful performance

  • Advanced skills in geochemical data analysis;
  • Strong geological, mineralogical, and geochemical knowledge of orebodies and associated mineralization, alteration, and oxidation processes, preferably in multiple commodities (gold, copper, nickel, base metals, etc.);
  • Familiarity with relevant software packages, such as ioGAS or R / Python equivalent programming, 3D modelling and visualization in Leapfrog, Geoscience Analyst, or equivalent;
  • Advanced understanding of mining operations, mineral processing, and metallurgy;
  • Ability to develop and manage client relationships and networks throughout the mining sector, from exploration to production and closure;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks at the highest standard and within budget;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook; and
  • Flexibility with hours and work locations.
Experience

  • 2+ years mining/exploration industry experience;
  • Broad experience in applied geochemistry, geometallurgy, and/or orebody knowledge;
  • Good understanding of commercial laboratories, assay methods, their strengths and limitations;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships in a consulting environment; and
  • Experience working in active operating mines, processing plants, and reconciliation would be an asset.

Qualifications:


  • Tertiary degree in Geochemistry or Economic Geology with geochemical/mineralogical focus (MSc, PhD highly regarded);
  • Member of professional geoscientific organization (EGBC, APGO, etc.);
  • Possess a current unrestricted 'C' class driver's license; and
  • Desirable to possess a current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Duties:


  • Key duties as Consultant
  • Collaborate with our Orebody Intelligence team to ensure optimal outcomes for clients and other stakeholders;
  • Advance ERM's standing as a leader in the provision of geological services globally through highquality work, deliverables, and research;
  • Develop client proposals and work with ERM teams to meet client needs;
  • Undertake field visits within Canada and internationally as required;
  • Report on activities, results and recommendations to peers and clients at a very high standard in a format suitable for public release, if required;
  • Provide data and feedback to clients in in writing or via oral presentation at the highest standard; and
  • Maintain positive relations with clients, business partners and colleagues.
  • Other duties
  • Attend professional development training as required;
  • Travel on short notice; and
  • Any other adhoc duties as instructed by a Manager and/or Partners.

  • Solides connaissances géologiques, minéralogiques et géochimiques des corps minéralisés et des processus de minéralisation, d'altération et d'oxydation associés, de préférence dans de multiples matières premières (or, cuivre, nickel, métaux de base, etc.);
  • Familiarité avec les progiciels pertinents, tels que la programmation équivalente ioGAS ou R / Python, la modélisation et la visualisation 3D dans Leapfrog, Geoscience Analyst ou équivalent;
  • Compréhension avancée des opérations minières, du traitement des minéraux et de la métallurgie;
