A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users.
Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord and the Provincial Electronic Health Record.
eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.
eHealth Saskatchewan, has an exciting and challenging role for an experienced, proactive and highly motivated individual to be the Executive Coordinator for our new Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
The position will be:
- Supporting the Chief Executive Officer in relationship building, administrative tasks and activities that align with eHealth's strategic directions
- Providing leadership, supervision, and direction for eHealth's administration support team
- Board Secretary to eHealth's Board of Directors and its subcommittees, including preparation of agendas and background materials, accurately recording meeting minutes and ensuring followup items are completed in a timely manner.
- Commitment to and passion for customer service, relationship building, teamwork, quality improvement and attention to details [both big and small]
- Experience supporting a CEO and Board of Directors
- High tolerance for achieving results in a complex and dynamic environment
- Abilities to anticipate and identify issues, make timely and accurate decisions and independently organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines
- Capacities to quickly and accurately prepare a variety of documents and correspondences utilizing advanced features of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- Understanding of governance and operational processes as well as familiarity with the public sector structures and processes
- Ability to record and maintain executive and Board documents and ensure appropriate follow up.
- Leadership and collaboration for a team of administrative assistants to ensure the executive and Board are well supported
- Wellhoned organization, communication and people skills and an understanding of discretion appropriate to the position
Typically, the knowledge and skills required to excel in this position would be obtained through a combination of formal education such as: Office Education Certificate, Business Administration, Business Certificate/Diploma, or equivalent, supplemented with significant work experience supporting senior leaders and boards.
