Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Information Systems Manager.

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Information Systems Manager will have an overall responsibility for global Epicor oversight and management, as well as a small amount of local on-site general IT management.

This position requires partnering with all functions and IT staff locally and across regions to resolve issues, and determine the systems and technology needs for the organization in addition to supporting and enhancing existing systems.

This includes responsibility for supporting the development and implementation of the IT strategic plan in collaboration with overall global IT.


Essential Functions:


Leadership:


  • With intimate knowledge of the business, processes, and systems the Systems Manager acts as a liaison between all functions, regions, and levels with a focus on Epicor ERP. This requires building and maintaining highly effective relationships including governance and escalation paths to management while coordinating user activities and supporting and training end users. Acting as a partner to all functions to determine and analyze business requirements and implement system changes. Additionally, this role must be a key proponent of change management throughout the organization whenever technology or systems are involved and support documentation for the business management system.
  • Helps drive overall organizational data literacy and competency including supporting analytics initiatives and creating documentation such as data dictionaries and conceptual and logical modeling.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Manages the region(s) IT function operations and planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing, and coordinating the allocation of resources both internally and externally.
  • Leads the development and implementation of key initiatives, including ways to identify and implement process improvements that drive quality, efficiency, and cost reduction via systems and technology.
  • Provides project leadership and management of IT related company initiatives, including the definition and implementation processes dealing with onboarding/offboarding, procurement and deployment. This includes supporting initiatives with regular and effective communication to stakeholders.
  • Supports and manages the design and selection of the systems and technology according to business needs, including the research and evaluation of new solutions.
  • Adapts to a rapidly changing technology landscape by implementing continuous improvements to systems and security ensuring compliance with industry standards; advises potential upgrades; recommends system improvements, upgrades, and implements new features for optimal performance of company hardware & software.
  • Manages and accountable for the financial aspects of the IT function for the region(s), including the development of annual IT operating and capital budgets including strategic initiatives.

Operational Support Responsibilities:


  • Manages internal IT staff and external technology partners, providing direction and leadership including setting objectives and service levels, vendor contract negotiation, monitoring and evaluating performance, technical support, prioritization, and problem solving for team members in achieving defined goals and objectives.
  • Enforces the governance, security, integrity and availability of systems, technology, and data.
  • Supports the development and testing of incident response, and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Resolves escalated problems to ensure speedy resolution of outstanding issues and rapid response to customers (internal and/or external).
  • Planning, ordering, installing, monitoring, and reviewing contracted work by outside agencies.
  • Oversees proactive monitoring and maintenance on all IT systems including servers, endpoints, and software implementation with external support as needed.
  • Oversees and provides technical support for local infrastructure including cloud services, servers, workstation, and communication systems (e.g. cell phones, fax, VPN) with external support as needed.

Position Requirements:


  • Education
  • A diploma or degree in IT/IS, Computer Sciences, Business Management, or other relevant field with sufficient IT/IS experience
  • Computer Skills
  • Deep multifunctional knowledge of ERP system (Epicor preferred) usage and administration particularly in manufacturing and distribution environments
  • Proficient in programming, specifically usage of APIs and SQL is an asset
  • Microsoft MCSE/MCSA or similar Certification/Training/Experience
  • Professional Experience
years progressive experience in an IT/IS operations, preferably in a project management role, with strong understanding of warehousing and manufacturing environments
