JOB OVERVIEW
Ensure high-quality essential personalized support meets the unique needs of the residents.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To lead by example and develop effective support teams within the Residential Division.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to staff
  • Develop recreational programs for residents
  • Work closely with Care Coordinator to ensure medications are managed, and appointments are attended to as required
  • Work with the Human Resources Manager on the recruitment and onboarding of residential staff
  • Ensure staff attend all mandatory and refresher training
  • Ensure the residences meet Health and Safety regulations
  • Develop and manage all shift scheduling and changes
  • Provide oncall and direct support coverage as needed
  • Ensure staff adhere to the established policies and procedures
  • Schedule and lead regular staff meetings
  • Debrief with the team as required
  • Develop, manage, and safeguard records and personal information

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum Education: Degree/Diploma or specialization in; Social Science, Social Service Community Worker, Human Services, Psychology, Personal Support Worker or other related disciplines.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year working in a residential setting or related field
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Supervision or Management experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • First Aid/CRP and Mandt Training is an asset
  • Agile and energetic
  • Valid drivers license
