- Create, maintain, and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all products, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to gather and validate BOM information, including component specifications, part numbers, and quantities.
- Establish and enforce BOM structure, hierarchy, and naming conventions to facilitate clear communication and efficient management.
- Receive, review, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) initiated by engineering teams, assessing the impact on BOMs, drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
- Coordinate crossfunctional review and approval of ECOs, liaising with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance stakeholders to ensure alignment and consensus.
- Implement approved ECOs in a timely manner, updating BOMs, drawings, and documentation as necessary and communicating changes to relevant departments.
- Establish and maintain a structured change control process for managing ECOs, including documentation requirements, approval workflows, and revision control mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies governing change management, data integrity, and product documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to BOMs, ECOs, and associated change control activities, including version history, change logs, and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among crossfunctional teams involved in product development, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Serve as a central point of contact for BOM and ECOrelated inquiries, providing guidance, support, and assistance to stakeholders as needed.
- Proven experience(5+ years) in BOM management, ECO coordination, or related roles within a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management (PLM) concepts.
- Proficiency in BOM management software, PLM systems, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
