Sun Life's Client Solutions Center (CSC) is a fast-growing, multi-billion-dollar wealth and insurance business unit and is continuously evolving to meet the growing needs of our Plan Sponsors and Plan Members.

This dynamic business requires a strategic orientation that is defined by analysis and data, while also being fast to test and adapt.


Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Strategy, In-Plan and Choices Client Experience CSC, the Manager, Client Solutions Centre, Strategy and Engagement is a key member of the CSC Strategy team and is responsible for developing bold strategies to give employer plan members advantageous investment and protection solutions as part of Sun Life's group choices offering.

In addition, the Manager acts as a key player in the acceleration of the CSC, acts as a champion for our clients and sets new paths for them to lead healthier lives and achieve financial security, while in line with our sustainability agenda.


What will you do?

  • Be a champion of our clients' experience, ensuring all strategic decisions build on the foundation of helping our clients achieve their goals
  • Create market diagnostics and client analyses to find opportunities to enhance the client experience, grow the business, and challenge the current business paradigm
  • Use data, analytics, strategic frameworks, research, and other tools to structure and simplify strategic orientation
  • Influence leadership decisions in support of business growth and client experience enhancements
  • Lead and streamline the strategic planning process, working with leaders within the CSC and aligning with stakeholders across Sun Life
  • Build business cases to secure investment on strategic plans

What will you need to succeed?

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study; MBA is preferred
  • 35 years experience in strategy consulting or a similar role; experience in the financial or insurance industry is an asset
  • Strong analytical capabilities to build modelling, analyse data and build hypotheses to drive decisions and develop solutions
  • Excellent listening and storytelling skills to guide leaders towards decisions and the ability to develop strong executive presentations
  • Structure and synthesis: focus on objectives and the ability to align discussions and deliverables to achieving bold outcomes
  • Ability to build trust and align stakeholders with differing agendas
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and complex operating environments, a natural entrepreneur who creates focus and priorities
  • Ability to balance bigpicture thinking with practical execution
  • Ability to drive projects and initiatives to completion, meet business case goals, and prioritize based on effort and expected outcomes
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong presentation skills, especially to senior leaders
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
