Description

GFL is currently hiring Full-time Labourers (Assistant Operators).
Our specialized Labourers are a key part of our team based out of Ottawa.

Key Responsibilties:

Operating equipment and tools;
Assist with emergency & spill response;
Pressure blasting & washing;
Removal & disposal of hazardous waste;
Remediation of contaminated areas;
Confined space, working at heights.
Digging holes and trenches;
Securing and safely loading/unloading vehicles with equipment and supplies;
Secure work area and set up traffic control;
Other duties as required

Key Requirements:
Professional and positive attitude;
Motivation to ensure timelines and expectations are met;
Strong regard for safety and safe work practices;
Minimum of two (2) years working and driving experience;
G class drivers' licence with a clean abstract;
Accept change and be adaptable to different work environments;
Being part of an On-call rotation (every 3 weeks);
Fall Protection/Working at Heights and Confined Space experience an asset.
