Accounting Coordinator-Billing
Hybrid

As a member of the finance and accounting team, the billing specialist will be responsible for providing accurate billing reports, invoicing and record keeping to the multitude of Direct Travel.

This role will be to work closely with the Shared Services team to provide the accurate preparation of invoices and supporting reports for our corporate customers.

Expedition Expectations

Collecting all information and data to generate billing reports and invoices for various frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, etc.)
Process individual company billings using specific backoffice software and/or incorporating additional worksheets from outside sources
Research, track, identify and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies based on individual client's fee structure
Issue monthly customer statements if needed
Enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites when required
Continually update job knowledge and take on additional billings as the company grows
Aid others on the Shared Services team with Accounts Receivable invoicing and credit card merchant charging
Able to meet or exceed deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
Other duties and projects as assigned

Passport to Success

Preferred 3 or more years of general accounting experience with a solid emphasis on billing

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Excellent attention to detail along with problem identification, analytical and resolution skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Selfmotivator with the ability to work alone
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
Ability to adopt a flexible, handson approach in relation to the strategic direction of the company
