Job Summary:


How you will make an impact:

Reporting to the onsite Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are properly maintained, workspaces and meeting rooms are correctly set-up and facility issues are responded to in a timely manner.


As a Porter, you will:


  • Responsible for the transportation of food, beverage, furniture and deliveries within the building(s)
  • Assists in all functional aspects of the event set up and tear down, flips and preparation as directed by the onsite manager based on applicable BEOs.
  • Performs duties including setting and checking of rooms according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO), clearing rooms following the completion of events
  • Interacts with managers and supervisors to resolve guest concerns politely and promptly
  • Provide engaging and anticipative service to all office employees and visitors
  • Work closely with facilities and other workplace departments to ensure a flawless client experience
  • Conduct routine floor checks for cleanliness, orderliness & deficiencies
  • Fill, clean, and maintain coffee, beverage coolers, and water equipment.
  • Weekly and Daily communication with the Catering lead.
  • Carry out instructions for security, fire, health, and safety guidelines as required
  • Conduct opening and closing walkthroughs
  • Light housekeeping duties as required

About you:


  • Working experience in a hospitality environment is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work independently and have great attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet frequent deadlines
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • The associate will be on their feet, walking around the floors making sure that all our standards are in place.
