Construction Project Coordinator
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to assist all works on site, and provide on-site coordination for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating authority and consultant approvals, sub-trades, material and equipment, and ensure specifications are followed while staying within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Liaison between the Project Manager, and all other technical disciplines involved
- Assist Project Manager with the overall management of construction projects
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
- Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
- Liaise with PM to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
- Make sure that the Project needs are met as projects evolve
- Help prepare budgets
- Analyze risks and opportunities
- Oversee project procurement management
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
Duties:
Preconstruction:
- Cost estimating and quantity take off
- Prepare bid documents and clear and concise scopes of work
- Prequalify vendors and subcontractors
- Maintaining project cost data base
Procurement:
- Development of project bid list and subcontractor Notice to Proceed
- Analysis of contract documents and proposed subcontractor selections
- Review and cost analysis of material purchase.
- Help PM to develop and maintain procurement list
Construction Coordination:
- Update project estimate based on review of 30/60/90 percent Drawings
- Draft subcontracts
- Manage change, quantify orders and subcontractor invoices
- Maintain budgets and cost forecasts
- Participate in post project review with key project personnel
Manage information flow:
Meeting minutes, RFI, Shop Drawings, SI, Cos, Field Reports, etc.
Coordinates with PM and Site Super, city permits, lane closures, noise variations etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3years of construction related experience, a portion of which was directly involved in project coordination
- Previous experience overseeing wood frame, multifamily projects is required
- Postsecondary education
- Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or related field an asset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings
- Quantity takeoff assessment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a dynamic environment.

Salary:
$58,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
