The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the sewing department.This entails planning and coordinating the flow of work in conjunction with the cutting, bundling, sewing, cleaning, and packing departments.
The Production Supervisor maintains productivity, maximizes efficiencies, upholds desired quality levels, monitors sewing supplies inventory levels, defines processes for new styles, and tests prospective sewers to assess their skill level.
The Production Supervisor should have a strong understanding of sewing and have complete proficiency in the construction of various garments.
Moreover, the production supervisor should have a basic understanding of quality control processes and be able to identify any defects in the equipment.
In the event that machines need repair or maintenance, the Production Supervisor should be able to liaise with the sewing machine mechanic.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing a sewing department for a clothing manufacturer
- Manufacturing environment
- Remote work is not facilitated
Salary:
From $17.00 per hour
