Responsibilities

  • Hold accountable for deliveries throughout the development life cycle
  • Work as trusted technology advisor to help the sales and trading business identify the opportunities to improve their efficiency with system solutions
  • Define the technology strategy and the execution plan for the next 5 years and be accountable for the execution of the plan
  • Work closely with stake holders including Sales and Traders, Business Management, Product Development, Risk and Control, PM, BA, QA, Production Support and other technology and nontechnology partners to ensure the successful and quality deliveries
  • Manage a team in multiple regions globally for its performance, risk and control, budget, resource planning, talent and location strategy. Improve the team's effectiveness and efficiency through coaching and collaboration.
  • Drive the engineering culture and lead the team to achieve the goal of engineering excellence in CICD, production stability, technical design, code quality, info security and new technology adoption
  • Lead the architectural and technical designs and ensure the alignment with department and firm wide technology strategies
  • Handson in technical details and be able to provide guidance to the developers when encountering technical difficulties.

Qualifications

  • Strong product knowledge for spread products including Corporate Bond, Credit Derivative, Muni Bond, Loan, and Mortgage Backed Securities
  • Strong domain knowledge in sell side trading business for voice and electronic trading, client engagement, sales trader interaction, offer and pricing, trade capture, risk management, compliance and regulatory mandates.
  • Experience and working knowledge in Spread Product trade capture and trade processing
  • Excellent communication skills; strong ability to work with business users face to face to understand requirements and convey own ideas as a technology advisor and partner
  • Ability to influence on multiple stakeholders to resolve differences
  • Strong technical skill in enterprise level serverside architectural design, Web Service and Service Oriented Architecture, Cloud Computing, Hardware planning, Java, Python, Oracle and SQL Server, EMS, Kafka, Elastic Search
  • Working Experience and good understanding of modern UI technologies including HTML5, Jave Script, WPF, FDC3, preferrable working knowledge with Finsemble or OpenFin, Angular or Reflect, AgGrid
- knowledge of trending new technologies and best industry practices

  • Experience in building and managing a global team in multiple locations to overcome the communication barriers and achieve common goals

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
