Job Description:

Conduct Stages 24 archaeological fieldwork under the guidance of a field supervisor.
Identify and recover Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts as directed by the site supervisor.
Prioritize Health and Safety, adhering to all AECOM procedures.
Willingness to travel and work out of town, across Ontario, for extended periods.
Lead by example and take on additional tasks assigned by field supervisors/management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

23 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Ability to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork, including lifting up to 40lbs and repetitive movements.
Effective and professional communication with the Field Supervisor regarding site workrelated information, issues, and concerns.
Punctuality and preparedness for all weather conditions with appropriate gear readily available.
Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office or designated project meeting spot.
Sensitivity, awareness, and a respectful attitude towards Indigenous culture and people.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to recognize cultural material and collect it in a controlled manner.
Demonstrated physical ability and care when conducting excavations.
Effective team player with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Working knowledge of MCM Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.
Valid Ontario driver's license.
