Job summary
Cleans and dusts furniture floors hallways stairways and ledges under general supervision works according to detailed procedures in cleaning and custodial duties may assist in other maintenance duties cleans washrooms including sinks walls and partitions toilets urinals mirrors floors metal fixtures plumbing fixtures and faucets collects litter from floors and waste/compost from receptacles empties into janitor cart removes garbage/recycling from buildings and deposits into waste bins or compactors cleans carpets as required removes spots/stains from surfaces as required washes windows walls including partition glass moves resets furniture when necessary in order to complete work makes beds for residence guests in residence operations when necessary leans blackboards whiteboards writing surfaces as directed replenishes supplies as required changes light bulbs cleans fixtures as required clears exterior entrance ways of buildings of debris garbage cleans exterior entrance pads podiums using power washing equipment assists snow removal when necessary may periodically assist with set ups for special events exams cleans escalators elevator interior exterior locks unlocks doors as directed- Cleans dusts furniture floors hallways stairways ledges
- Reconditions floors stripping refinishing scrubbing spray buffing buffing sealing related floor care duties
