Fabric Building InstallerReporting Manager:
Install Crew Supervisor
Location:
Multiple locations throughout Ontario
Position Summary:
The Building Installer must be able to operate various pieces of equipment and able to complete all tasks assigned by the Install Supervisor.
Work operates in a standard 5 days a week, 8-10 hours a day schedule however the schedule will be amended and determined based on specific project requirements.
Extended stays for days to weeks at a time and varying hours will be required depending on the project and the site location.
Meals and rooms are provided for extended stays. Local jobs require you to meet in St. Thomas daily.Position Qualifications:
- A valid Driver's License and clean drivers abstract
- Clean criminal record check and ability to be approved for secure sites
- Able to travel and work on the road in various locations within Ontario year round in all weather conditions
- Have up to date WHMIS, Arial lift, Working at Heights and First Aid / CPR certification OR have the ability to obtain through employment
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to operate equipment such as drills, impacts, other hand/power tools
- Able to operate various pieces of lift equipment
- Physical strength is required for manual material handling
- Comfortable working at heights
- Hands on manual labour experience
- Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
- General Labourer experience in a construction environment is an asset
- Knowledge of construction in the fabric building industry is an asset
- Strong leadership skills
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures and wear all supplied PPE required for the job
- Have attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask
- Responsible to keep work sites, trucks, and trailer orderly, and safe
- Follow the guidelines outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Encourage fellow employees to work safely and to report hazardous or unsafe conditions immediately to their supervisor
