Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be a strategic partner for our customers, providing a high level of customer service, and working with them to ensure their daily produce needs are met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • Prepare an annual personal sales budget plan along with updated quarterly forecasts for their selected group of accounts, including seeking strategic sales opportunities
  • Service accounts by establishing positive relationships with key decisionmakers and demonstrating strong followthrough on commitments
  • Source new accounts through a disciplined sales approach by identifying qualified leads, evaluating their position in the market, etc.
  • Negotiate price with accounts by having a keen awareness of market pricing, supply, and quality of produce items at all times (to protect the dynamics between both margins and volume sales)
  • Provide tactical assistance for crossselling produce item opportunities with other members of the team
  • Assist other Account Managers with their accounts during their vacations and other absences
  • Conduct customer visitations on a regular basis to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Submit visitation reports to the Sales Manager
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College or University degree (preferably Business or Economics) and/or 12 years of equivalent work experience
  • Effective sales and account service experience, along with negotiation and relationship building is a must
  • Possess good interpersonal, relationshipbuilding, and negotiation skills
  • Strong oral communication skills and presentation skills
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows
  • Demonstrated continuous learning and personal/professional development
