    Location: Edmonton ,ABSalary: $21.00 Per HourHours:8am to 5pm

    Overview:A forklift operator plays a crucial role in warehouse and industrial settings by efficiently and safely operating forklifts to move materials and products. They are responsible for loading, unloading, stacking, and transporting goods within the facility, as well as ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining equipment.
    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials and products around the warehouse or worksite.
    2. Loading and unloading goods from trucks, pallets, shelves, or other storage areas using forklifts.
    3. Transporting materials to designated locations within the facility using established routes and procedures.
    4. Performing routine pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure proper functioning and safety.
    5. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or worksite, including clearing aisles and storage areas as needed.
    6. Assisting with inventory management by accurately recording materials movement and inventory levels.
    7. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established protocols for handling hazardous materials.
    8. Reporting any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
    9. Collaborating with other warehouse staff and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations.
    10. Participating in training programs and staying up-to-date on forklift operating techniques and safety guidelines.
    Qualifications:
    1. Valid forklift operator certification/license.
    2. Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred.
    3. Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
    4. Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively in various environmental conditions, including tight spaces and high traffic areas.
    5. Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
    6. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
    7. Attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory movements.
    8. Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
    9. Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
    10. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
