The Role:

KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. is growing and we are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Analyst at our head office in
Mississauga.


The Accountabilities:

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for purchasing and payables cycle, reconciling accounts payable and other accounting functions.

The key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Complete purchasing and payables cycle and ensure monthend closing procedures are completed in a timely manner.
  • Analyze, review and manage variances.
  • Record biweekly expenses for payroll.
  • Inputting invoices into accounting system, matching invoices against purchase orders and managing payables documents.
  • Reconciling accounts payables sub ledger/aging reports to the general ledger.
  • Maintaining schedules or reconciliations for other general ledger accounts including property, supplies, equipment, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, etc.
  • Supporting the cash flow forecasting process relative to accounts payable.
  • Communicating with and responding to vendor inquiries, and performing vendor account reconciliations.
  • Recording rent, utilities, credit card transactions, WSIB, employee benefits and depreciation.
  • Preparing cheques for payment to suppliers, vendors and independent contractors
  • Booking miscellaneous/interbank account transfers and related transactions from bank statement.
  • Prepare aging analysis on a monthly basis for inclusion in monthly reporting package to senior management and the board.
  • Work in conjunction with EMR and finance team members to recommend and find efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance and adherence with KMH policies.

The Requirements:


  • 2 to 5 years of AP experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Accounting degree or diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (Management Reporter) and an EMR is an asset
  • Healthcare experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Focus on detail, accuracy, efficiency and results
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Comfort with technology and moderate to advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Effective time management and organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills

The role reports to the Controller. This is a full-time, on-site role scheduled for 5 days per week between Monday-Friday, during the hours of 8.30. a.m.4.30 p.m.

From $65,000.00 per year
