Part Time, Sessional

***The Faculty of Social Sciences at the King's University is seeking a sessional instructor in Sociology for the
following courses in the academic year. The courses meet for 3 hours per week.


COURSE DESCRIPTION
Fall 2024

SOCI 34- Sociology of Art

Tuesday, Thursday 11:00-12:20

This course will examine the complex interrelationship between culture, the artist and society. The
course will evaluate the tension linking the creative individual to his or her society.

Winter 2025
SOCI 32- Criminology

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 1:00-1:50pm

relationship between laws and morality and the social processes leading to criminal behavior.

**QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA or PhD in Sociology or related field
  • Postsecondary teaching experience as either a primary instructor or teaching assistant
