Members of our Landscape crews are responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (usually physical in nature) in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects and maintenance services.

The landscape laborer will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.

Typical Tasks

a) Assist a crew to construct walkways and patios, walls, fences, decks, gardens, lawn areas, etc. b) Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns. d) Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects. e) Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying. f) Operate various mechanical and hand tools including sod cutter, tamper, lawn mower/trimmer, measurement equipment, shovels, etc. g) Potentially drive trucks/trailers as skill levels permit.


Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Class G Ontario drivers license in good standing

Work Conditions:
Work is primarily on residential properties in the Oakville/Burlington area, jobs are often near heavy equipment and other vehicles.
Work is outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold. Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work are preferred. We also offer work throughout the winter months as we also do snow clearing and salting.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.00-$26.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Oakville, ON L6K 3S3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
Lanscape Construciton: 1 year (preferred)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class G Drivers Licence (required)
