The
Agro Summer Student provides agronomic support, service, and knowledge to customers. This position will report to the Senior Sales Agronomist.

Basic Job Functions/Essential Duties:

Assist with yard operations; preparation and delivery of customer products.
Callon and assist with the develop new potential customers.
Provide agronomic information and advice on seed, pest identification, crop protection, and crop nutrient/fertilizer so Coop customers can make informed decisions based on report findings
Manage routine farm customer service responsibilities, including field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility and crop protection recommendations
Responsible to maintain knowledge of current industry best practices and trends
Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Assist with achieving/maintaining sales, margins, and inventory targets for existing customers and expand sales to new customers

Requirements:

Student in an Agriculture Degree/Diploma or Certificate program from a recognized institution in Agriculture or Agriculture business
23 years farming/agriculture related experience
An ability to thrive in a highenergy and fastpaced environment
Willingness to learn, work independently, and take initiative
Knowledge and experience in crop input and equipment sales
Must possess and maintain class 5 driver's license and have the availability to be on call with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

This Summer Student will spend approximately 1/2 of the week at our Viking Agro location and the other 1/2 at our Sedgewick Agro location, depending on site requirements.
