Location: 2200 Eagle Street North, Cambridge, ON

Hours:
Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm with occasional evenings around month-end.

Compensation:
$60,000-70,000 per year

What You Will Be Doing:

Manage all payroll procedures of the Group (20+ pay companies, 1000+ employees)
Train, mentor and coach personnel related to payroll
Approve transactions and review exemptions
Supervise and train employees involved in payroll to ensure the best payroll practices are being adhered to
Maintain the payroll systems and turn "problems" into solutions
Make changes including salary adjustments as stipulated by Executive Management
Use payroll tools and software ie: ADP, Desjardin, HRIS
Audit payroll transactions to ensure accounts, payment dates, and taxes are up to date and accurate
Create monthly and yearly payroll reports as requested by Executive Management
Stay up to date with federal and provincial tax laws and regulations
Ensure all payroll systems comply with federal and provincial tax laws
Respond to any payroll related inquiries
Support GL and drawback processes
Support other accounting and payroll related tasks as assigned
What You Bring to the Table:
PCP designation required or PCL designation is an asset
Minimum 510+ years experience in payroll processing and leadership
Experience with ADP and Desjardin is required
Knowledge and understanding of a draw system
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Video Conferencing Platforms
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with competing demands and changing needs
Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and a willingness to "wear multiple hats"
