Safety - Drivers have the Right to Decide and assess the situation to determine if it's safe to drive

Equipment - Bison tractors are on average under two years old; three years for trailers

Compensation - Safe mile bonus paid quarterly, regional premiums, fuel subsidy, benefits and more


Position Profile:
Team B

  • Continental night shift to 0600
  • 12hour shifts
  • Hourly rate: $22.66 plus $2night premium = $24.66/hour + hourly safety bonus
- $0.50 /extra an hour if LCV qualified

  • Reporting directly to Shunt Coordinator and indirectly to Yard Services Supervisor
  • Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick checks, and trailer greasing
  • Responsible for handling all incoming requests to the Winnipeg shunt team on assigned shift
  • Needs to work closely with Shunt Coordinator, City Dispatch, Maintenance and the Warehouse on daily shunting activities
  • Additional work might be available upon request
  • Will be working out of the Bison Centreport yard
  • Company Driver residing in Winnipeg or immediate area
  • Must have 24 months tractortrailer experience
  • Previous Shunt experience is preferred
  • Eligible for LCV is an asset
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Non-Smoking units
  • You will be well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Foster a teamwork environment
  • Ensure other shunt drivers are operating with good efficiency and offer coaching to improve
  • Driver who consistently leads by example
  • You will be reliable, flexible and punctual
  • Must be comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
