Floor Manager
Location:

Smithers, BC, Canada

Full-time - 5 shifts per week, Wednesday - Sunday. Weekends mandatory mixture of brunch & dinner shifts

The Floor Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant floor. They are responsible for overseeing the front-of-house staff and ensuring a high standard of service. This position is pivotal in maintaining a positive dining experience for our valued customers.


Customer Service:


  • Greet and welcome guests, ensuring they have a memorable dining experience.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of service provided by the frontofhouse staff.

Staff Management:


  • Supervise and train waitstaff and other frontofhouse personnel.
- help with creating staff schedules and manage labour costs effectively.

  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans.

Operations:


  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service and food delivery.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlists during peak hours.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
  • Eye for detail ensure a high level of maintenance is kept

Quality Control:


  • Ensure food and beverages meet our highquality standards.
  • Address and resolve any servicerelated issues to ensure guest satisfaction.

Compliance and Safety:


  • Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure staff adherence.
  • Monitor compliance with alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service.

Communication:


  • Act as a liaison between frontofhouse and kitchen staff & facilitating smooth communication.
  • Report to the general manager and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in a restaurant.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
  • Familiarity with restaurant software for reservations and point of sale we use TouchBistro
