Crescent Point Energy is a conventional oil and gas producer with assets strategically focused in properties comprised of high-quality, long-life, operated light and medium oil and natural gas reserves in United States and Canada.
Crescent Point strives to create sustainable, value added growth in reserves, production and cash flow through the execution of management's integrated strategy of acquiring, exploiting and developing reserves.
Purpose:
The Joint Venture Representative is responsible for the commercial and technical stewardship of both operated and non-operated Joint Venture assets at Crescent Point.
Working closely with all departments within Crescent Point, responsible for maintaining positive working relationships with industry partners, while optimizing all commercial aspects of current and future Joint Venture opportunities.
Main Responsibilities & Activities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze Unit, CO&O and Service Agreements within a geographic area.
- Review and advise on Facility and Unit AFE's/Mail Ballots for both operated and nonoperated properties.
- Advise the Asset Teams on joint interest properties and custom processing.
- Identify opportunities to attract third party production to Crescent Point operated facilities.
- Negotiation of complex commercial arrangements is required.
- Participate and/or lead meetings with partners, third parties and Asset Teams;
- Advise internal stakeholders on Joint Venture matters including accounting/audit, engineering, legal, land, marketing and Acquisition and Divestiture (A&D).
- Assess and understand key infrastructure needs for processing and evacuation of production.
- Assess the commercial merits of existing Joint Venture arrangements and identify new opportunities.
- Evaluate and advise on potential A&D opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- A postsecondary education with a minimum of 10 years of Joint Venture experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with A&D evaluation is required.
- Strong understanding of field operations, infrastructure, and processing is required.
- Previous experience in the Montney area considered an asset.
- Previous experience negotiating significant commercial agreements is required.
- Strong understanding of or prior experience in downstream/marketing considered an asset.
