Position Title:
Trucking Logistics Coordinator


Position Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the coordination of transportation, inventory, and distribution of equipment.

They will work closely with the Operations team to ensure that all equipment is delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining MAXX quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate truck drivers according to availabilities and carrier profile requirements;
  • Coordinate the shipment and equipment and materials to work sites and vendors;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and other logistics providers;
  • Assist in development and negotiating rates and contracts with carriers and logistics providers;
  • Responsible for renewing and reporting IFTA and Prorate for all trucks in the fleet;
  • Manage all required permits for trucks travelling across Canada and cross border to the USA;
  • Track shipments and ensure that they are delivered on time and in the correct quantity;
  • Manage the logistics budget and ensure that all expenses are within budgetary constraints;
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline the logistics process.

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination;
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with little supervision;
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements;
  • Previous customer service experience;
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software programs
