Under the direction of the Restaurant Management team, the Granite Club is looking for Reservation Coordinators (covering a maternity leave) to create a positive experience by ensuring Member inquiries and reservations are looked after through good interpersonal skills, strong communication, exceptional phone manners and excellent attention to detail.

Reservation Coordinators are required to act as ambassadors and representatives of the Club as a whole as Member perceptions of the Club in general are influenced by the front-line staff they encounter.

The position also entails the maintenance and enhancement of the Granite Gold level of service necessary to properly represent the Granite Club.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greeting, seating and bidding farewell to Members in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Addressing Members by names at all times. Communicating member names to dining room managers and servers.
  • Reservations for the Granite Dining Room, Bistro, Kitchen Gallery, Terrace and Chef's Table.
  • Attend daily catering meetings to keep abreast of functions relating to dining rooms.
  • Setting dining rooms prior to meal periods as per Member needs and requests.
  • Organizing daily function sheets and communicating with servers and managers all special requests.
  • Maintaining server stations and highchairs.
  • Cover Reporting/Spreadsheet Applications.
  • Wine Society membership and mailings.
  • Reservations for social events within Club. (E.g. Wine Society, Granite Ball, NYE)
  • Confirming reservations, enforcing cancellation and noshow policies, assisting with floor plans and registration desks when necessary.
Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 education and 1 year related work experience.
  • Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
  • Superior phone manner.
  • Emotionally Mature, Respectful and Sincere.
  • Excellent Communication and Social Skills.
  • Well Groomed and Courteous.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills and able to prioritize and take direction.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a demanding, fastpaced environment.
  • Smart Serve Certification.
  • Understanding all policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and specifications.
  • Required to work weekends, weekdays and/or holidays, AM and PM.
