    We're looking for our first Data Engineer to join our Product Engineering team You'll help build our data systems from the ground up. You'll build pipelines to manage all of Pulley's data, and create internal-facing tools and external-facing products on top of those pipelines. You'll collaborate with other engineers to connect their systems to these data pipelines and with product managers to design new data-first products for our customers.

    You'll also help out on data analytics by providing product, sales, and marketing managers, as well as executives, with tools and data to analyze Pulley's performance. You'll be the founding member of a team that will grow alongside Pulley and that Pulley's growth will rely on. A key element of your role will be nurturing an inclusive team culture that values open communication, collaboration, continuous learning, and development.

    • Frontend: React
    • Architect, implement, and deploy Pulley's first centralized data pipelines
    • Design and build externally-facing data-based products in collaboration with software engineering and product managers
    • Build internal analytics systems for use by product managers, sales, and marketing teams
    • Design robust data systems held to the same reliability, scalability, and security standards as the rest of Pulley's systems
    • Be a champion for analytical and data-driven decision making within Pulley
    • Lead by example, promote a culture of egoless learning, and take on a mentorship role
    • 5+ years of experience, preferably at high growth startups
    • Strong knowledge of modern data engineering techniques like ETL pipelines, data lakes, etc.
    • Basic understanding of or willingness to learn Golang and
    • Background in mathematics, statistics, or analytics a plus
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders across a variety of disciplines
