About Us:


The Data, Privacy and Innovation Division uses a one-government approach to information and privacy governance, decision-making and service delivery across the Government of Alberta (GoA) balanced with individual client needs.

This facilitates enhanced data sharing, collaboration, reduction in data duplication and innovation to ensure effective and efficient services across the government to provide better services to Albertans.


Role:


Reporting to the Information Management Specialist, the Records Analyst is responsible for supporting ministries to ensure compliance with Information and records management policies and standards through the provision of advice and direction of ministry clients, interpreting client information management needs, implementing the direction of the Manager, and maintaining appropriate documentation of information.


The primary responsibilities for the Records Analyst are (but not limited to):

  • Provide records management user instruction and orientation to clients
  • Develop security categorizations and maintain security controls
  • Coordinate transfer and destruction of records
  • Undertake boxing and completion of record inventories
  • Identifying, marking, copying & storing of vital records
  • Develop and maintain record management statistical data and managing audit trail information.

Qualifications:


Required:


  • Highschool diploma plus three (3) years of experience in information management.

Assets:


  • Knowledge of records and information management policies, processes, procedures, acts and legislation.
  • Working knowledge of MS 365 Office Suite

Equivalency:


  • Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

Salary:

$1, $2,307.87 biweekly ($49,198 - $60,235 per year)
