    Your role and responsibilities


    In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in conjunction with the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology. Each day, you will determine costs, prepare final documentation, and serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential cause, and recommending future actions.

    The work model for the role is hybrid: 3 working days in the office and 2 remotely.

    This role is contributing to the MOSE Service business in Canada. Main stakeholders are Motion Service Sales team, product manager, execution team and leadership

    • Supporting the local Sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost‑effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
    • Preparing / supporting in the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives.
    • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through information from general market and the Sales organization.
    • Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicates it to the Sales organization.

    Qualifications for the role


    Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical background.

    • 3–5+ years of experience in service sales, proposals, or technical sales, preferably within industrial automation, drives, motors, or related electromechanical systems.
    • Proven experience preparing technical and commercial proposals, including scope definition, cost estimation, pricing strategies, and risk assessment.
    • Ability to interpret technical documentation (single‑line diagrams, motor/load data, control schematics, customer specifications).
    • Strong commercial acumen, with ability to balance competitive pricing, margin targets, and customer value propositions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical content into clear customer‑facing proposals.
    • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, able to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Customer‑centric mindset, with proven ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, project management, and service teams.
    • Strong understanding of ABB's product and service portfolio, including drives, motors, lifecycle services, retrofits, and modernization solutions is an asset.
