Description
The General Maintenance Worker is an important member of our Warehouse Department.

Reporting directly to the Day Shift Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance, tidiness, and cleanliness of the Company's warehouse, including the distribution centre.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse preventative measures and general maintenance duties.
  • Keep all areas of the warehouse and distribution centre tidy and clean.
  • Ensure all areas of the warehouse and distribution centre are free of debris and fragments by removing and disposing them properly in their respective disposal containers (garbage, compost, recycling, etc.)
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop the warehouse and distribution centre. This includes the warehouse offices, restrooms, and storage rooms.
  • Dust, disinfect, wash, and wipe down all surfaces and windows of the warehouse.
  • Replenish restroom supplies as needed. This includes hand soap, hand sanitizer, hand towels, toilet paper, etc.
  • Ensure product skids are neatly stacked and organized.
  • Ensure the warehouse and distribution centre are free of hazardous materials by conducting regular inspections throughout the facilities.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned by the Day Shift Supervisor.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous janitor, cleaning, or general maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to use cleaning supplies and equipment (i.e., disinfectants, cleaning solutions, vacuum, mop, etc.)
  • Ability to work at heights (i.e., standing on ladders).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and autonomously.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and workdays, including weekends if necessary.
  • Reliable transportation is required for this position.

Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm


Pay rate:
$17.00 per hour
