Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician will be responsible for providing valuable quality support by ensuring the products meet all standards of presentation and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Perform visual inspections, mechanical, and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards
  • Competent with use of micrometers, verniers, height gauges, CMM, and Optical test equipment
  • Study product specifications and work instructions
  • Follow nonconforming part procedure to identify & isolate defective material
  • Support internal/external audit processes, as required
  • Support cross functional problem solving activities, as required
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints/inspection plans
  • Support PFMEA and APQP activities, as required
  • Support PPAP activities, as required
  • Helps to ensure the safety of the workforce
  • Identify problem areas, recommend, coordinate, and implement solutions
  • Collaborates with other departments to maintain the quality system

Qualifications:


  • College diploma or 1 year manufacturing or Quality work experience
  • Solid understanding of GD&T is considered an asset
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
  • Demonstrated flexibility within a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to take initiative and recognize needs
  • Superior attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
