Job Summary

  • Reporting to the PI, in liaising with the Executive Board, the Project Coordinator will provide support for the science program and related coordination and grant administration. The Project Coordinator will facilitate the execution of the research program and play a pivotal role in project administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and arrange inperson and virtual meetings for the whole project team and the project's Executive Board (EB). Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes.
  • Assist with budget oversight and monitor the status of the budget. Record and update records and metrics on the project outputs (publications, presentations, outreach activities, HQP, etc.) and coordinate and prepare regular progress reports for the funders.
  • Assist with coordinating and providing logístical support for field experiments and campaigns.
  • Manage data generated by the project and facilitate timely submission to public repositories.
  • Work with the project team to mobilize knowledge of their research results through various outlets.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Note

The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (a combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong organizational, problemsolving, and timemanagement skills.
  • Superior accuracy and attention to detail.

Assets

  • Prior related experience to the tasks and responsibilities.
  • Prior experience with seagoing, field, and laboratory work.
