    Aon Is Looking For A Senior Broker, Financial Institution Broking Group (Toronto, Canada)

    This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our office.

    Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

    What the day will look like

    • Participates in client and prospect meetings
    • Collaborates with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
    • Collaborates with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activities
    • Collaborates to build national initiatives around the Executive Risk lines of coverage
    • Provides guidance, training and mentoring to assist in the development of less experienced Brokers within the national group
    • Builds productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations
    • Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements
    • Prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
    • Negotiates with underwriters to establish best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage
    • Follows up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are met
    • Approves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals
    • Establishes contacts and cultivates relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clients
    • Performs other related duties as required

    How this opportunity is different

    As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Financial Institution Broking Group within Aon.

    You will develop, negotiate and leads all aspects of Executive Risk coverage including review and placement. Executive Risk includes Directors and Officers Liability, Fiduciary (Pension Plan) Liability, Employment Practices Liability and Financial Institution Bond Insurance.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • 5+ years of Financial Lines insurance background and knowledge is required
    • Financial or Legal education is a strong asset
    • Broker licensed is required
    • Strong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance company
