About Ending Violence Association of BC


The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) is a dynamic, solutions-based provincial non-profit association that trains and supports close to 300 anti-violence programs and cross-sector initiatives across BC that respond to gender-based violence (GBV) including sexual and intimate partner violence.


The programs we support include BC's Community-Based Victim Services (CBVS), Stopping the Violence Counselling (STVC), STV Outreach (STV ORS) and Multicultural Outreach (STV MORS), and Sexual Assault Services (SAS) as well as a number of cross-sectoral coordination initiatives and projects.

Position Overview


Reporting to the Manager of Social Enterprise, the Program Coordinator of Social Enterprise is responsible for social enterprise programs and initiatives.

These include but are not limited to training programs/projects such as:
Be More Than a Bystander, and trainings focused on diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.


Work also includes developing project plans and timelines, creating content such as promotional and training materials, and identifying personnel and other resources needed to ensure program deliverables and timelines are achieved in accordance with the project plans and budgets.

The Program Coordinator will have experience in managing multiple projects, training coordination and outreach, budget tracking and reporting, and writing and facilitating gender-based anti-violence training.


About You

Overview of Key Responsibilities

  • Project coordination: Coordinate the planning, execution, and evaluation of new and ongoing projects and initiatives within our social enterprise. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets and monitor project progress. Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenses, and outcomes for reporting to funders and clients.
  • Budgeting and invoicing: Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing to clients and partners.
  • Training coordination and delivery: Coordinate logístical aspects of training sessions, including venue selection, materials preparation, and participant registration. Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, incorporating innovative instructional techniques. Collect and analyze training evaluations and participant feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Content development: Create and refine training materials, presentations, and resources. Regularly update training content based on emerging research, best practices, and participant feedback.
  • Take a teamwork approach to actively contribute to the overall work of EVA BC

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Works, at a minimum, at a bachelor's level by way of degree or a combination of experience and training
  • Minimum threetofive years of experience working in the antiviolence sector
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and initiatives, ensuring project deliverables and timelines are achieved, in accordance with the project plan and budget
  • Strong understanding of genderbased violence (including sexual violence, intimate partner violence and programming for men's engagement), harassment and hate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the antiviolence sector and the diverse needs of survivors, antiviolence workers, and communities
  • Experience working directly with survivors of genderbased violence, communities impacted by genderbased violence, and/or communitybased antiviolence workers and leaders an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Public speaking skills to deliver compelling presentations on genderbased violence and harassment to diverse audiences
  • Excellent skills related to establishing and maintaining respectful and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff as well as external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, be a collaborative team player, work independently, and show initiative and creativity

  • The salary range for this position is $52,525 $62,84
  • This position works primarily from the EVA BC office in Vancouver.
