Responsibilities and Duties:

The following are the responsibilities and duties of the position as the
Machine Operator & Technical Support (but not limited to):


As a Machine Operator:


  • Meeting production targets by consistently producing highquality corporate supplies and promotional products in our Edmonton, AB facility.
  • Being responsible for all kinds of basic maintenance work of the machines (laser engraving machines, production printers, finishing machines, hot foil stamping machines etc.).
  • Packaging of the products and delivering them to other departments.

As a Technical Support:


  • Helping the team on different types of technical support work. For example, workstation setup, phone system setup, desktop printer setup, basic PC related troubleshooting etc.
  • Performing some technical support tasks related to building maintenance like HVAC system control, IT and production inventory count etc.
  • Performing some nontechnical work like office supplies inventory count, event organization, reporting health and safety related concerns and improvement suggestions etc.
You will be working with different teams and participate in cross-training with other departments to further your skill sets. You will report directly to the assigned Manager for you in Edmonton, Alberta. Occasionally, you may need to report to the Operations Manager in Mississauga, Ontario.

As a salary-based employee, you may be required to work out of regular scheduled hours as per need upon the approval of the direct manager.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Are comfortable operating machinery and standing/walking for long periods.
  • Are comfortable working with tools to solve maintenance related problems.
  • Are comfortable handling heavy weights (20 to 30 lbs).
  • Have any technical degree or diploma (good to have; not mandatory).
  • Have a positive attitude, lead by example, and are respectful towards your team members.
  • Understand the importance of health and safety at work and can follow instructions.

Compensation:


Generally, $24 to $25 per hour; negotiable based on experience and qualification; wage increment available based on role progression & contribution.
